The quality of trials improved over time; however, most were at risk of bias. Less than half of the trials concealed allocation to intervention (n = 813, 36.7%), used intention-to-treat principles (n = 778, 35.1%), and blinded assessors (n = 810, 36.6%), participants (n = 174, 7.9%), and therapists (n = 39, 1.8%). These findings did not vary by the type of therapy. Conclusion: Most trials that test physical therapy interventions for low back pain have methodological limitations that could bias treatment effect estimates. Greater attention to methodological features, such as allocation concealment and the reporting of intention-to-treat effects, would improve the quality of trials testing physical therapy interventions for low back pain.]]> Mon 29 Jan 2024 18:05:09 AEDT ]]> Promoting effective interprofessional collaborative practice in the primary care setting: recommendations from Queensland physiotherapy private practitioners https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:54971 Mon 25 Mar 2024 15:20:41 AEDT ]]> The relationship between knee radiographs and the timing of physical therapy in individuals with patellofemoral pain https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44771 Mon 24 Oct 2022 09:03:48 AEDT ]]> Physiotherapists' perceptions of patient adherence to prescribed self-management strategies: a cross-sectional survey of Australian physiotherapists https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:31895 Mon 23 Sep 2019 13:18:04 AEST ]]> The influence of exercise dosing on outcomes in patients with knee disorders: A systematic review https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:47508 Mon 23 Jan 2023 12:08:38 AEDT ]]> Dry needling adds no benefit to the treatment of neck pain: A sham-controlled randomized clinical trial with 1-year follow-up https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:49844 Mon 05 Jun 2023 14:38:59 AEST ]]> An exploratory international survey of the assessments and interventions used by occupational therapists and physiotherapists during the hospitalization of people with Guillain-Barré syndrome https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:52787 Fri 27 Oct 2023 09:47:40 AEDT ]]>
